Gerald, Mo. – Rock Island Trail East 24 in conjunction with Friends of Rock Island Trail State Park will host Rock the Trail Music Fest Sunday October 5 from 12:00-8:00 p.m. at the Gerald City Park located in Gerald, Mo.
The exciting concert lineup will feature International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) 2025 Female Vocalist of the Year Nominee Amanda Cook, RFDTV’s Malpass Brothers, Pam Setser a favorite performer in Nashville & Silver Dollar City. Gerald’s own Josh Wuerffel will kick off the day.
- The Amanda Cook Band has several hits including “You Make Me Brave,” “House on a Hill”, and “Pieces.” Amanda’s “down-to-earth style, profound connection with her audience, and distinctive vocal range” has cemented the band’s popularity with bluegrass enthusiasts and earned Amanda a nomination as the 2025 Female Vocalist of the Year by the IBMA.
- The Malpass Brothers toured with and opened for Merle Haggard for several years. They bring “energy and excitement” to their “highly polished, traditional country” shows and can be seen on RFDTV’s Larry’s Country Diner.
- Pam Setser has a lifelong musical career and has performed at Nashville’s The Station Inn and Branson’s Silver Dollar City. She has joined forces with acts like Grandpa and Ramona Jones, The Whites, and Joni Bishop.
- Josh Wuerffel is a solo country musician. He has performed at several local establishments and events and will open for the Rock the Trail Music Fest.
All proceeds are committed to continued development of the Rosebud to Gerald, Mo. section of the “Rock Island Trail”. Completion of this six-mile section of the Rock Island Trail with 100 percent private funding will be a true milestone.
