COLE CAMP, MO – Cycling enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers are invited to experience the scenic beauty of west-central Missouri at the upcoming Rock Island Gravel Grinder, scheduled for May 16, 2026, along the developing Rock Island Trail State Park corridor.

Hosted by the Cole Camp Community Betterment Association (CCCB), this gravel cycling event highlights the growing momentum of the Rock Island Trail and the communities it connects. Riders will enjoy a unique opportunity to explore the historic rail corridor while supporting a meaningful local initiative.

Participation in the Gravel Grinder will help raise awareness and funding for the development of a trail and trailhead in Cole Camp, a key project aimed at expanding recreation opportunities, enhancing tourism, and strengthening the local economy.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Cole Camp Community Betterment Association (CCCB’s). CCCB’s efforts include Rock Island Trail Development: Supporting trailheads, signage, historical markers, including the Monarch butterfly theme recognizing Cole Camp as Missouri’s first “Monarch City” and connections to the broader trail system
